Golden Visas will be available to exceptional private-sector instructors in Dubai starting on October 15, 2024.
Teachers working in private schools, international higher education institutions, and early care centers will be granted permanent residency visas. The emirate’s dedication to developing talent, investing in human resources, and honoring educators who motivate and empower future generations is demonstrated by the Golden Visa.
Nominations To Be Reviewed
The education authority for the Emirates recently sent out a notification to school principals, stating that they are taking advantage of the “golden opportunity” to ask “schools to nominate outstanding educators from your (their) school(s) that meet the eligibility criteria.” Additionally, KHDA suggested that schools form an “internal committee to review the requirements.”
“Taaleem has supported its schools with an explanation of the ‘Criteria’ so that staff can review this and then decide about an application,” stated Richard John Drew, principal of Jumeira Baccalaureate School. If a staff member wants to apply, they must submit their information to the principal, who will make the final decision.
This program honors outstanding educators in the private education sector who have shown quality, creativity, and a strong dedication to using education to shape Dubai’s future. It was introduced on October 5.

“Staff have received a frequently asked questions sheet that helps them determine whether they meet the requirements for a successful application,” he said. The team has said that the FAQs have been helpful, and they are clear and succinct.
Headteachers clarified that while candidates will be evaluated based on the criteria, schools also evaluate teachers’ eligibility based on their performance in the classroom and appraisal records from prior years.
“Even though it’s early in the process, I think staff are excited about the opportunity to apply for this,” Drew continued, adding that five employees have already indicated an interest in looking into applying.
Reviewing HR Policies
Schools emphasized that to ensure that they meet their standards of excellence, their nomination procedure closely adheres to the KHDA requirements.
“We are also considering particular accomplishments and contributions within our school community,” stated Sangita Chima, principal of Amity School Dubai. This guarantees a comprehensive and significant nomination by enabling us to honor teachers who not only satisfy the KHDA requirements but also exemplify our school’s values and goals.
Institutions are examining their HR practices to make sure they comply with the regulations set forth by the education regulator and the Golden Visa nomination procedure.

Several are “Keen To Apply.”
Additionally, school leaders noted that since institutions published the KHDA news, there is a “exciting buzz” across the education sector.
We’ve already had several queries, and it’s evident that a lot of people are interested in finding out more about the Golden Visa’s chances and nomination procedure,” Chima said. The zeal is very motivating.
Additionally, school officials emphasized that the candidates will only be evaluated if they “meet all aspects” of the eligibility requirements.
“An internal committee comprising the executive members of the school governing board will review the requirements and documents, ensuring compliance with the criteria before submitting the individual applications to KHDA via the e-Services system that will open on October 15, 2024,” stated Sheela Menon, Principal of Ambassador School in Dubai.
“A lot of teachers are eager to apply,” she continued. There aren’t many questions at the moment because the requirements have been clearly stated in the documentation. Instructors have been requested to gather the records and other proof.
