Stricter criteria were implemented to guard against any abuse of visitation visas and guarantee that applicants could support themselves while there.
Before applying for visit visas, travelers are advised by UAE travel brokers to make sure all of their documentation is in order. According to them, obtaining a visa now requires proof of stay, which includes a hotel reservation or the address of a relative, as well as proof of having enough money.
New Rules For UAE Visit Visa Applicants
In the past, passengers had to present proof of stay, return tickets, and Dh3,000 in cash at the airport to board. But today, they have to turn in the paperwork before requesting a visa,” Galadari International Travel Services manager Mir Wasim Raja stated.
According to travel companies, these more stringent standards were put in place to ensure that applicants could support themselves while in the United Arab Emirates and to stop possible abuse of visit visas. To decrease rejection rates and expedite the process, the modification has also led agents to carefully review applications.
To guarantee visa clearance, agents said that bank statements, return tickets, and proof of stay must be entered into their systems.

Masiuddin Mohammed, the founder of SuperJet Tours and Travels LLC, stated, “We process thousands of visas every day, but recently, some of our travel partners informed us that visas were rejected due to incomplete documents.” Because their paperwork was in order, he continued, only a small number of visas were granted.
According to Firoz Maliyakkal, founder and CEO of Tahira Tours & Travels, travelers need to make sure they have a guaranteed return ticket and a passport that is valid for at least six months. “Airport officials in the United Arab Emirates may randomly check these documents, such as proof of stay, return ticket, and adequate cash or credit card funds equal to Dh3,000 for a one-month visa and Dh5,000 for a two-month visa,” Maliyakkal stated.
Travel agents have seen that there are delays and misunderstandings since some applicants are not aware of these increased standards. Agencies are addressing this by stressing the value of educating travelers and offering checklists to guarantee compliance before submission.
