The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) declared on Monday that the UAE visa amnesty ends on October 31, and will not be extended.
Deportations and stricter procedures, including placing violators on the no-entry list, will be implemented, the ICP stated. Since some individuals have not yet left the country, the administration encourages those who have been granted exit permits to depart before the cutoff time.
UAE Visa Amnesty Ends on October 31
The amnesty program will conclude on October 31 in three weeks. In residential neighborhoods and businesses where offenders are found, intensive inspection campaigns will be carried out.
These efforts will persist in capturing offenders and enforcing judgments against them, whether by means of penalties or deportation, adding them to the list of people prohibited from entering the nation going forward.
“This (two-month visa amnesty program which started on September 1) is the golden and final opportunity for individuals to adjust their situations,” stated Maj-Gen Sultan Al Nuaimi, director-general of the ICP. “There will be no leniency and no court proceedings,” he continued.
“A huge number of cases have been received, and many have had their circumstances changed during this time,” Al Nuaimi said.

Authorities are keeping an eye on the whereabouts of the violators and, if the fines are not paid, they will deport them from the UAE and prevent them from returning.
Since some people have not yet left, they asked those who have exit permits to do so before the deadline.
After the amnesty program is over, the overall number of people who have changed their status will be revealed. Airlines helped a lot of people with special needs by giving them free or heavily discounted tickets.
Nearly 20,000 people had their status regularized by Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in September, while 7,401 exit permits were granted to violators who wanted to go back to their home countries as part of the amnesty program.
