What To Know About The New Visa Extension Regulations
The new visa updates give you more flexibility over the process to extend your UAE visit visa options. The new regulations allow the visitors to extend their visit visa validity period for an additional 30 days, which can be only done twice. Furthermore, you can only stay for up to 120 days within a year. Also, note that it is not possible to extend the visa after this period.
Visitors need not have to exit the country and re-enter for an extension, which saves you time and hassle. Also, the 10-day grace period allowed after the visa expiry has been scrapped.

Where Can I Extend My Visit Visa?
You should always remember one thing i.e., you can extend your visit visa for 2 times that too for a maximum of 120 days. If you extend the visa on the last day of expiry, you will have to pay a fee of AED100.

4 Ways To Extend Your Visit Visa in UAE
- Visit the DNRD Office
If you want to extend your visit visa by staying within the country, then visit the Department of Naturalization & Residency and Pay an amount of AED500
- Visa Run
You can exit and re-enter UAE by booking a Visa Run. This can be done at any point from Sharjah, Dubai, or Abu Dhabi to Muscat (Oman), Bahrain, Doha(Qatar), or Kish Island.
- Visa Flight
You can extend your visa by flight. But it will cost you about 100-500 AED for a flight excluding the amount of AED500, you have to pay for a visa extension. As soon as you land, without exiting the airport, enter the departure terminal and take a flight back to UAE. As you land back in UAE, go to the airport and get a new visit visa for 30 days or 60 days.
- Drive over to the border
To do this, firstly you need to get an exit stamp from the border and drive to Oman border control. Remember to keep the ticket they give you safely, as you need to show it as you return to UAE. Then, visit the immigration office to get a new visa and entry stamp. You will have to pay AED 60 and get an exit stamp for Oman. Finally, drive back to UAE and get your new entry stamp and visa.
It can only take you an approximate of 3 to 4 hours for this. As the number of people traveling is too many between Oman and UAE, it is advised to avoid holidays and weekends.
